Departure time varies by location. From Managua: early departure recommended (before 7am to avoid traffic). From Granada: 6–6:30am departure.
Comfortable, safe route on the Pan-American Highway north. Your guide uses the drive to give you context on Nicaragua’s tobacco industry.
First stop: the crops. You see tobacco in its natural state, learn the varieties (wrapper, binder, filler) and understand what makes Estelí’s soil unique.
