Estelí is the heart of Nicaragua’s premium cigar industry. Located in northern
Nicaragua at approximately 840 meters above sea level, the region combines
mineral-rich soils, warm days, and cooler nights that create excellent
conditions for growing high-quality tobacco.
Internationally recognized cigar producers operate in and around Estelí,
where generations of growers, fermenters, and cigar rollers have developed
one of Nicaragua’s most respected artisanal industries.
This private Estelí Tobacco and Cigar Tour takes you beyond the finished
product and into the fields, fermentation areas, and working factory spaces
where premium Nicaraguan cigars are made.
This is not a museum exhibition or a staged presentation. You will visit real
working locations and learn how tobacco moves from a small seed to a finished
handmade cigar.
